Experiencing a Louvre photoshoot in Paris would be a great opportunity to discover several beautiful locations within a small walking distance.
A perfect area if you’d like only one hour photoshoot with your kids and multiple backgrounds on your photos.
Find out below how your family portraits might look if you decide to go to the Louvre and its surroundings:
~ Louvre Pyramid ~
This location is a perfect mix of modern art (the Pyramid was inaugurated in 1989) and older times (construction of the castle in the 12th Century).
Tip: A Louvre photoshoot would be perfect in the morning, to avoid the crowd.
~ Tuileries Gardens ~
The Tuileries Garden owe its name to the tile factories which were previously on the site where Queen Catherine de Medici built the Palais des Tuileries in 1564. André Le Nôtre, the famous gardener of King Louis XIV, re-landscaped the gardens hundreds years later to give them their current French formal garden style.
The gardens, connects the Louvre to Place de la Concorde. It’s a pleasant area for walking, running with your kids as well as admiring statues (Maillol, Rodin or Giacometti).
Tip: From June to August 2019 (from 11am to Midnight on Fridays and Saturdays), Tuileries gardens host a traditional funfair.
~ Palais Royal Garden ~
The Palais-Royal is a former royal palace. Right opposite to the Louvre, it is a pretty garden with beautiful arches and a fountain.
The Palais-Royal now is the seat of the Ministry of Culture and the Constitutional Council.
Tip: in case of rain, we can come under the arches, so you’ll be covered!
