What to wear for a family photo session in Paris? This is the question you will definitely ask yourself.
Which colors, what kind of outfits, casual or fancy and so on… As the temperatures vary depending on the season in Paris, Summer outfits will not be the same as the Winter outfits.
I will help you the best I can by giving you few advises to choose what to wear for your family portraits while you’re in Paris.
Tips on what to wear for a fall family photoshoot in Paris
1- Make sure everybody is warm enough, especially kids
Just a quick reminder of the average temperatures in Paris:
September: 70 F / 55 F
October: 60 F / 50 F
November: 51 F / 42 F
When they are cold, children may be grumpy. So make sure you prepared some coats. If the weather allows it, they will be able to remove their coat. Better to have too much than not enough, right?
2- Three colors dispatched between each of you
You can choose a palette of 3 colors that you can allocate to each family member.
In the following exemple they choose white / grey and yellow.
Few details can be yellow, tights or a cardigan for example. Daddy can wear a light grey pants and a “stronger” grey coat and Mummy can wear a light grey dress for example.
The color does not need to be the same on each family member. A gradation is perfect too!
3- Add colors
Colors are great on photos. Blue(s), yellow(s) and red(s) are really pretty on photos. This is especially the case on a cloudy day in Paris. Colors will add some energy, joyful atmosphere to your family portraits.
Gradation of browns are also perfect colors to wear during the fall season!
