Are you wondering what to wear for a couple photo shoot in Paris? While Valentine’s day is approaching, you are taking the opportunity to have your love and connection being captured during a couple photo session in the City of Love.
But you are a bit lost: which clothes to wear for that special occasion?
Here are 5 tips to decide which outfits would suit you the best:
1.Be yourself and feel comfortable
Of course, you want to look at your best. But a couple / engagement photo shoot isn’t a show and you just need to be you and keep authentic portraits for you and your loved one! Choose out clothes in which you feel comfortable and warm enough to enjoy the photo shoot. The same for your shoes, wear those in which you feel comfi as we are walking around the day of the photo session.

2.Dare colors
Pink, orange, yellow or even red, try a touch of color for lively portraits.
You can wear a red dress and your guy a grey suit with a red bow tie for example.

3.Take the time to choose together
Elegant, casual, vintage, make sure you’re on the same page. Take a moment together in your wardrobe to choose what to wear for your couple photo shoot: which styles, which colors do you imagine and coordinated your outfits. It’s a great way to spend a moment just the two of you!
4.Rent or buy your dress?
Are you looking for an elegant dress for the occasion?
There are plenty of websites that offer beautiful dresses, either for rent or to buy.
Here are some of my favorites websites to find a dress for your engagement photo session.
Buy:
JJS HOUSE
Either short or long, you can choose at JSS House your perfect dress color with the help of their color chart.
DRESS WE
Very stylish dresses, there is a lot of choices for a sophisticated look.
Rent:
Rent The Runway (in the US)
1 Robe pour 1 soir (in Paris)
Or you can rent your dress and receive it directly at your Parisian hotel or apartment.
C’est ma robe (in Paris)
And even try the dress at their showroom, for a privileged moment!
5.Add accessories and props
You can add some depth to your outfits by choosing accessories such as a necklace, bracelets, a scarf, a hat, a jacket… By props, I think about: balloons, a nice umbrella it case it rains (it happens often in Paris…), some objects that remind your relationship. That will make your photo session even more customized.
